No one who saw "The Fast Mail" could believe it to be the iirst work of a youthïul dramatist. It was with ■u-ith equal difficulty that "The Toinado,'1 could be regarded as iecomd efiort. Both had their first production on the stage at Havlin's, and both represent ations brought out the auttoor, Lincoln J. Oarter, in response to enthusiastic and repeated calis. , v Tlie play will be a tremendous feuccess. The scènes other thaa the iirst include a shipwreck, a water ecene, a dissectimg-room and other mattere of equal interest, and the company ie thoroughly tralned and efficiënt.
