Hon. H. Wirt Newkirk the republican candidate for judge of probate, is somethini; of a "joinner." He is the Worshipful Master of the Dexter Lodge F. & A. M., and among the best workers in the county in that prosperous order. He has also been a member of the I. O. O. F's. for sorne time, and is always on hand at his own lodge when anything is to be done. And last, but not least, he is an active member of that universaĆ¼y popular order the Knights of the Maccabees of the world. In all these organizations Mr. Newkirk is prominent at home in Dexter village, and through them has made inany friends and acquaintance throughout the county. There is an old saying that when you want anythirg done give it to a busy man to do. This will apply to Mr. Xewkirk, for although a busy man in taking care of the interest of the hundreds of depositors of the Dexter Savings Bank, he fiuds time to take and active part in all these things. Any mason will teil you that a good Worshipful Master bas a great deal to do, and he is a good one. Mr. Newkirk, if electedto the position of judge of probate, will be a prompt and capable official, and he will be on hand six days of evcry week. A good thing for voters to consider.
