Burtou Parker, of Monroe, who was been in the service of the Republican state central committee in the northern part of the state, tells the following story, illustrating liow clearly some people understand the money question : Candidate Bryan had completed one of his free silver harangues and was shaking hands with some of his admirers, when a sturdy Irish woman pushed her way through the crowd to where she could grasp his hand. "That was a foine speech ye made, Mr. O'Brien," she exclaimed. "Oi listhened to ivery whord of it, and I'm shure you're a great mon. I'm going home and get a lot of votes for ye. But there's wan question I want to axe ye, Mr. O'Brien, so I can explain it to the min folks." Mr. Bryan smiled radiantly, and said he would be pleased to answer any question. "Thin I want to know," said the good woman, "whether ye are goin' to bring us the silver, or will we have to come afther it."
