Editor Stearns, of the Adrián Press, has sent a letter to the executive committee of the national democratie party, añil in lt are some cholee chlngs. Here are a lew paragraphs and sentencea : "I ani a democrat (so is Dave Hill) and I know of no democrat who nupports Palmer, Buckner or any other combine of senility and seeession." He calis them "sore heads and whipped leaders." "None but a traitor to his oountry, an encmy of the oíd flag, and a revolutioriist who would trample down all aw would defend that action, or help to excuse it " "Yon are led by Herr Most, backed by Hcrr Buckner, counseled by Herr ?c.hurz, assisted by Herr Hesing, aldecl by Herr Hanna and appiauded only by Herr Damphools." "Yon have neither democracy nor sense. You try to hold to the name Jl a party that has turned yon out, to join foreign nations or republicana, in your iñsane raid on the rights of the people." "Why do you mask under the name of national democrats, when you are the Hessians of the repiiblican íorees. paid hirelings of tlie monopolies and corporations.'' etc. "You are dispised by democrats, shunned by honest voters, ontlawed by republicana, and do not have ven the approval of yourselves. Your democracy Is of the same brand as was the patriotism of Benedict Arnoltl. Yon aro party anarchiste, disturbers of politieal fealty, and a disgrace to a eivilized country. Yon lifions; to the rule or ruin class, and decent people spurn yon as not worthy to boloncr to any politieal party. Yon npvor lssned a sonnd money argnment in your history." "You don'l nnderetand the first principies of an honest dollar." "You havo not a man amone; you who hns o ver earned an honest dollar. Your record is one of financia! rtislionor and politieal treachery. As well misrht we expect the -levil to preacii holiness and sanctification. as to look to your organlzation for safe eounsel in finances or national honor." "When the executive committee got that letter they no doubt feit very bad, indeed. They may, however, have al! joined in the good old song : "fíister, thou wert mi'd and lovely, Qeutle as the suminer breeze; l'lensant as the air of evenlng As i' flloats among the trees," etc.
