The loot ball team was defeated in the gaine with the '98 lits. last Friday afternoon by a score of 6 to 0. It was a hard fought game and there is no disgrace in the defeat for ovtr boys. This game was in the class series: The following men have been chosen for the Mandolín Club : lst rnandolins - Messrs. Corbusier, Berry, and Zimmerman ; 2nd mandolina - Messrs. Denison and Brownhall ; 3rd mandolín - Mr. P. Murfin ; Guitars - Messrs. Jackson, Pearson, and Audette. Mr. F. Corbusier was elected manager and Dan Zimmerman, leader. The club has commenced weekly practice, and it is hoped that they may have success. The foot ball team goes to Detroit Friday, where thëy will play the High School team of that city. It will undoubtedly be a close game, and our boys are very confident of winning. At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Athletic Association, Mouday, it was decided to purchase sweaters for the foot ball team. They are to be of marón color, with the yellow letters A. A. on them, representing the High School colors.
