It is the policy of the Bible Chairs to secure the ablest Christian lecturers that can be engaged. In harmony with his policy Proí. Coler has secured President J. G. Rodger, of Benzonia college, to give a series of seven lectures on the general theme of "Scientiflc Grounds for Christian Faith." President Rodger was at one time a skeptic, and these lectures trace the progress of his thought in his return to faith in Ührist. He is an able and pleasant speaker, a gradúate of Yale ITniversity, and lias spent several years in study in Edinburgh and Germany. The subject of his lectures, and the time and place of their delivery wil] be as follows : My reasons outside the Bible for belief: 1. "In a Personal God." First Babst Church, Sunday afternoon, Novemer 22, at 3 o'clock. 4. "In the Bible." Congregational lurch, Sunday evening, November 2, at 7 :30. 5. "In the Reasonablenessof Faith." ewberry hall, Monday evening, Noember 23, at 7 :30. 6. "In Answer to Prayer." New)erry hall, Tuesday afternoon, Novemer 24, at 4 :30. 7. "In the Christian Conscience." ewberry hall, Tuesday evening, Noember 24, at 7 :30. These lectures are all free and are pen to students and to citizens of Ann rbor. President Rodger preached at ne of the union services in Ann Arbor ast sumiller and the people were greaty pleased with him. We feel certain ïat they will be as much pleased with his series of lectures.
