Mamy ehüdren are allowedto mn the streete xnttiït late into the night which cannot hielp haviing a demoiraliziug effect upoin them, and ii párente can noft control tiiieür young children, there ehoulld be a law compelling tii&ai to be off the streets and in their homes at a seasttnübïe hour. The hour adtopted by the cities that have the cwrfew law is nme o'clock in summer, and edght o'öllock in the winter lor chüidren nnder 6ixteen years of age. There is not an evening that our stn-ets do not have many; boys and gtrin of tender years, running about wiithout their párente to look after them, untü late hours. They become impüdent and mischievous, and inany are led into patha of vice and immorality, where.aB, lf they are kept at home amd given the proper training, they womld grow to be useful mem and women, instead of becoming worthaess and outcasts of society. let tüe crurfew böll ring."
