The Ann Arbor schools were represented at the World's Fair by four volumes of examinatkm papers, two books of botanlcal specimens, drawings fnom all the grades, and plctures of all the buildings. The splendid exhiblt brought a medal for speciiic merit, granted by the judges as 'showing an efficiënt, well graded system, from the ktnderg-arten first steps Ln learning, to tbe full preparar tlon for t-he Unirersity." This is stlated .on a large and beautliul parchmeint issud by the World's Pair Oommdssion end nigned by i-t officers. The bronze meda-l, encased in ain ahiminum box, is three inches in düa meter. On the faee is "World '8 Oolumbton Exposition, in commemoratdion of the fonr hundredth anniversary o-f the lancliirii? of Columbns xnxCCXCn. To Public Schools." The obverse Bide had a full length bas relief of Oolumbus landing, with the date Oct. XH„ MöCCCXCII. The diploma wiil be framed and hung in Supt. Ferry's room by the side of the one granted our schools by the Centennlai Exposition.
