Un-dcr tbe heading "Busiest Man In Town," the Sagioaw Oourier-Herald of Jan. 23, has this to say of one of our well-known citizens : "The busiest man In Saginaw oounty dnrinig the past week was Assistamrt Sergeant-at-Arms W. E. Stocklnï. of the Michigan house of repreeentatlves. Mr. Btocking's duty has been to summm witnesses for the invpstigatlon before the special commitíee auld lve ha3 done his work faithfully and troll. In fire days he has served nearly 100 subpoenas in all kimds of wieather, by daylighit and darkness, and not a single paper that has been gien lnbo his hands has he failed to properly serve. The proportlons of his task are simply enormous -when It i comstdered that the wltnesses live in remóte dlstricts and tJliie time &lTen in which the papers must be Berred was exceedingly short. "Mr. Stocklng Is a well known fig-ure about the capítol, haring held various 'posftlons under the state all of whdch he has filled with credit. Durlng the paat week he haa had same unlque experiences in hunting tip witnesses who lived on wayback country Voads and who proved to to nave ]ut gome to town when he fün&lly Teached thelr places of abode. It is safe to say that no one will rejoixe over the completionj of the investlgatlon more than will Mr. Stockng."
