Home find work where sotne find rest, Aud so the weary wond goes on; I sometimes wonder whicli is best: The aiiswer comes when life is gone. Rome eyes sleep when eome eyes wake, Aud so llie dreary night-hours go; Some hearts beat where some hearts break; I ofien wonder why 'tis so. Some wills fatnt where some wills flght; Some love the tent, and some the field, I often wonder who is right: The ones who strive or those who yield? Some hands fold where other hands Are liited barvely in the strlfe; And so thro' ages aud thro' lands Move ou the two extremes of lile. Snme feet halt wbere some feet tread, In tireless maren, a thorny way ; Some struggle on where some have fled; Some seek when others shuu the iray. Someswords rust where others clash Some faĆ¼ back where some move on, Some flags furl where others flash Uutil the battle ba been wou. Some sleep on while others keep The vigils of the true and brave ; They will not rest till roses creep Around thelr name above a grave.
