Mis. Barbara Meyer, of tlie Northside, died at her home Sunday eveniug at half-past 8 o'clock, of bronchial pneumonía, aged 68 years. Death carne suddenly, as she was sitting up in the afternoon, and seeined considerable better. But she was conscions unto the last, and fully realized her condition. Mrs. Meyer was a native of Germany, coming to this country after her marriage. Her husband was at one time very wealthy, but had too niuch confidence in a relative, signed paper for him and was thus relieved of his property. Then they cuine to America and made success of life in the new world. The funeral services are being held to-day in JSíthlehem Lutheran church. The deceased leaves four children, Mrs. Barbara Burkhqrdt, Mr. Frederick Meyer, Miss Emma Meyer, all of tliis city,. and Mrs. Julias Meyer, of Boston, Mass., and was the grandinotber of Mr. Oscar Burkhardt of this city, all of whom have the sincere sympathy of many friends in their bereaveineiit. Her mother, Mrs. Louis Vogel was buried Tuesday, havingdied of the same disease and another dauglHer Mrs. Schwartz of this city, died a few days previous from a like cause.
