The large erowds which annually attend the May Festival in this city is evident tliat we need an auditorium. Univer.sity hall is inadequate to accommodate the large concourse of people tliat freqnently gather th'ere. Tlie Tiines would suggest that the city boud its self to build an auditorium. The cat hole on the corner of N. Twelfth and Washington streets would be the most desirable spot in our beautiful city for such a structure, for the reason that the entrance to the same could lead into the gallery and the auditorium, and thus do away with the climbing of stairs. Twenty thousand dollars would be a siiftïcient sum with which to erect au auditorium at the corner of IC. Twelftli and Washington streets.- Daily Times. Wliat is the matter with utilizing the hole in the ground opposite the M. C. R. R. station to the north? You could go from the street into the gallery there, and then have a schute constructed to take auditors to boxes and reserved seats in dress circle and parquette. See ?
