The eomm'ittees on arranging for the coming Fourth of July celebration l ■■■:' met Momrlay rotehifc at the office of the county elerk. Froni every cammittee came reports of flattering success and indications of a surprisirgly popular celebration. The following rough draft of the day's exercises was made out, giving a day's enjoymeüt the like of which Anii Arbor has not seen in many years: The forenoon of Saturday, July 3, wMch has been chosen, the Fourth coming on Sun'day, will be given up to the formal reception of out-öftown organizationg ano general visitors and the monster parade. The parade will con'tain a mimiber of novel features, never before witnessed in tuis city. !A't 1 p. na. there will begin the asnal formal exercises of the day on the court house square. First will come popular 'and patrio'ttc music by at least eight brass bands playing in nnison. Governor H. S. Pingree or Mayor Maybury, of Detroit, will inake the Principal address. One or both of these gentlemen tvHI positively be present. Follöwing this program Ann Arbot's crack fire 'deparfement will answer a false aïartn from a Main street business house, put up ladders and throw ■water in the most approved fashion. Next will come telloon ascensión and parachute drop. Aifter this will be given a grand 'military dress parade, to be p'articipated in by several military companies. During the afiternoon there will be a baseball game, probably between the Ann Arbor Brow.ns and the Mt. C'lemens team, anid a number of bieycle races- further information of wnicb ■w"ill be pubïishëd here at later date. At 7 p. m. there will be a grand brass band concert on the court nouse square, to be follöwed by a magnificent display of fireworks. The program has never been equaled in Ann Arbor eelebrations of the past and s'hould bring thousands of visitors to the city. Put your shoulder to the wheel and pusli.
