It is Bight Years Old- The 2d Baptist church society of this city will pass its eighth birthday on the the 20th inst., aud proposes to have a week's celebration of the event, comtnencing with the 2Oth. All the proceeds will go towards paying off the debt resting on their church ediflce. The program for the week is as follows : Sunday, June 20, 10:30 a. m.- Sermoa by Prof. A. Ten Brook, Ph. D. 3:00 p, m.- Sermón by Rev. Robert W. Vankirk, of the First Baptist cuurcb, Ypsilanti. 7:30 p. ra.- sermón by Rev. N. S. Bur, D. D. Monday, June al, 8 p. m.- Rev.T. W. Young, of tbe First Baptist churen of Auu Arbor, and otbers will speak and a program of vocal aud instrumental musió will üe glven. Tuesday, Juue 22, 8 p. in.- Ypsllauti concert and address by seveial prominent gentlemen. Wednesday, June 23, 8 p. m.- Regular concert of choruses, recitations, etc. ïbursday, June 24, 8 p. m.- Rey. J. W. Bradshaw, of the First Congregado lal cnurch, Anu Arbor, will preach. Friday, June 25, 8 p. m.- Social entertainment aud presentatiou ol prizes to tbe two bringing iu the highest amouut on subscription cards. First prize, a handsome gold ring; 2d, a magniflcent silver cup. Sunday, June 27, IU:30 a. m.- Preaching by Rev. B.C. Barry, of Saline; 3 p. m., preaching by Rev. B. L. McElroy , of the First Methodist churcb, Aun Arbor; Sunday school concert, etc. Kach eveuing the different societieg will provide refresbments for those who attend. Admission to all the concerts, iectures and entertainments, 25 cents. Single tickets, 15 cents. All churches are cordially iuvited to the services.
