All the committees having the -ttli of Jul}' arrangements in hand are busy as bees. A meeting was held Monday evening at County Clerk Schuh's office, and all reported their departments as booming. The finance cornmittee is a little slow, and yet they are meeting with pretty fair success. The committee on invitation report that there will be a regiment of military liere, six companies certainly, and perhaps eight. Also that there will be eight brass bands from the county present, enough to make music for the most enthusiastic. The great feature of the day no doubt, will be the parade. Of the business houses of this city 150 have agreed to have a float in the procession. Then tlioro will be at loaet 1,000 raeuibere of the various societies of the city, and 3,000 school children, each with an American flag. Add to these the military companies, which aloue will make a good sized procession, and one may judge Bomething of what the display will be. It is expected that the entire procession, bands, wheelmen, horsemen, and all will reach over flve miles in length, and may doublé that if the weather is fine. In the afternoon the bands will be massed in the court house square and will play "Hail Columbia." After that will come the dress parade of all the military companies, and an exhibition drill. In the evening will be given a band concert, and then will come the flre works. Capt. Schuh is authority for the statement that they will be fine, Besides the balloons, Roman caudles, skyrockets, wheels, etc., there will be eleven large exhibition pieces. These will be flred from a stand erected at the corner Main and Hurón Sts., facingthe east. Hon. E. D. Kinne bas been invited and will probably act as president of the day, and Prof. Trueblood will read the Declaration of Indepeudence. These exercises will take place on the court house square in the forenoou. Judge J. W. Donovan, of Detroit will deliver the oration. Iaj. Howell, of Adrián, will be present, and have charge of his battallion of M. N. G. Oapt. Manly is hot after the Toledo Cadets. This organization is the best of its kind probably, in the United States, having won nuinerous prizes for drill, and never yet failed when incoinpetition with others. There are 100 men in the cornpany, and it will be a grent card if they can be secured. There will be a meeting of all the committees, at the County Clerk's office, on Thursday evening.
