We are in receipt of the New Haven ning Register of fuly Ist, containitiga some wliat extended accountofthe aasrriage on Nov. lltli last, of Francis "Wetmore' McMillan, sou of Hon. James SfcMillau, of Detroit, and Miss Florence C Lewis, of New Haven. In speaking ei the event the Register says : "With the exception of the imraediate families of both young people, no one, ot even the most intímate friends or MÍatives, knew that they had beenmarlied. While there was no opposition to the marriage on either side, Mr. McMilIfln's people were extremely anxious ihat he should get his degree and take an extra course of study at college. The young bride's parents were equally anxOQ8 that their daughter should wait a Sew years first, because of her youth, Jöd then, too, because of Mr. McMil!m's studies. The two young people tbought differently, however, and so, oaeaiternoon, after an absence of less thau. two hours they came[back and anaoanced their marriage to the astonished frent&, at the same time sending the 3ews to Detroit. There was uothiug to te done but give the parental bleseings, aml this afternoon at 4 o'clock Mr. and Mrs. Francia Wetmore McMillan will o to New York, whence, on Saturday, ihey will sail by the steamship Lncania Oi the Cunard Line, for a three-months redding journey on the Continent."
