N the meuagarie tent of the Barn'im &. Bailey Greatest Show on Earth, when that institution comes here on Tuesday, August 17, there will be seen without extra charge one of the most original and and highly eutertaiuing exhibitions ever devised. It comprises a medley of the most skillful and curious mueicians procurable, with high-class special ty artista, actors, and others. Tlie musicians perforna upon such queer, quaint, and odd instruments as the Guatemala, Miramba, the saxaphone, base clarionet, novelty drums, bag pipes, zylophone, Cantiue chimes, bovvaphone, Scotch Thistle, and many others, interspersed with dauces such as the Hot Scotch, Doublé Highland Fling, etc. Then there are exliibitions by the midget snake channer, wherein huge pythons, boas, anacondas, aud venomous reptiles are toyed with and handlsd like household pets; there are mentally paralyzing exploits by the lightning calculator, perilous displays by the fire-kings, the men who swallovv hot live coals and devour burning ñames of lire, male and female magicians, jugglers, and])restidigitators whose marVelons slight of hand performances are almost miraculous, and mental feats by child oracles. This is the very unique and astoriishing fiee exhibition in the menagerie tent originated for this year, and it takes ilace just before the regular performances. In the same inclosure are also to be finind Johanna, the giantess gorilla, and the big giantess, the six and a half pound midget, Great Peter the Sinall, and the famoas Orissa twins, Rodica and Doodica. There are also 24 elepliants, 5Ü enges of wild beasts, a rafi'e, and scores of animáis in leash. The performances comprise one hundred narvelous acts in tliree rings, on three tages, a race track, and aerial enclave, vith many notable features such as 70 raiued hörsea perforining in one ring at ne time. Alar, the humau arrow, the vonder globe, the human return ball, lie acrobatic and aerial displays, etc. 'he free street parade which is new this ear and is called the Return of Colum)us to Barcelona, reproduces that florious event just as it occurred 400 'ears ago, and contains, besides many other grand features, a forty-horse team. Everybody should see it.
