George Beckvvith, of Chelsea, eame down to A mi Arbor yesterday lo attend the circus. To-day at about 11 o'clock, a. m., Ii is dead body was taken from the river at Foster's and bronght to this city. There are sonie indications that iie was foully dealt with, as there ave marks overeach eye and over the mouth that looks as it he had been struck with some instrument. On liis person was found 70 cents in monev and a gold watch. Wliether he had any greater amount with him is not known. It is understood that he was missed last night, and that officers had been in search of him froni about 3 o'clock this uiorning. The probability is that there will be soine startling developments in the affair before long. He was a young man, about 24 years of age, and one who held the respect of the people wheve he lived. His father is a resident of Detroit, but his son had always lived with his grandfather, Williani Doyle, in Chelsea.
