OUR FASHION NOTES. $ l'HE DERBY JACKET, '% p ING OVER A SHIRT-WAIST ! OF PLAID SILK. J Norhing in the n-ay of a Summer jacket ia so popular as the blazer. It is worn over shirtwaista of silk, cheviot, gingham, lawn or dimity. The blazer shovra in the illüstration is made of blue clotli with velvet as an inlay in ihe collar and poeket-laps. The jacket is fitshionably knowa as the Derby and may be rorn open or closed. When the jacket is worn open the fronts may be rolled in lapela to tlie wiiiat or in small lapels to the buat. It i-; optionaJ whether the lovcer front corners shall be round or square in shape. The sleeves stand oul at tho top in the way now approvcd and tho fitting is accomplished with great precisión, the sides and back clinging closely to the figure.
