"Various estimates have been put out, but it is uot believed by the bestposted corn merchauts that our erop willexceed 1,700,000,000 bushels. They figure that this will be much more beneficial to the farmer than a bumper erop and will, in all probability, be much better for the corn carrying railroads, as it will insure higher prices for corn. "The farmers have their corn and oat erop clear this year and do not need to sell it. "The farmer this year is truly blessed. He has : 550,000,000 busbels of wheat at 85 cents per bnshel (easli price) $167,000,000 1,700,000,000 bushels or corn at 2(i ets per bushei (cash price) 425,000,000 600,000,000 bushels of oats at Ü0 ets per bushei (cash price) 120,000,000 Total 11,012,000,000 "So we inight go on with potatoes, live stock, rye, barley, etc, until we would doubt our own figures."
