New Yokk, Jan. 4.- Doputy Attorney General Poste recently moved bef ore Justice Barrett, in Supreme Court Chambers, to j have the Globe Mutual Benefit Association restrained from carrying ou its business, tipon the ground that the company was insolvent, and that the iasurance of inf ants, as pracücéd by tho association, is unauthorized by law. Judgo Barrott has handed down a decisión in the case. He says: j "Thebusinoss of this company is limited to that of life and casualty insurance upon the co-operative at)d assessment plan. Only members who accept tho contract obligations of such memberslfipcan bo thus ínsured. Infanta are not eligible, as thev can not make a contract. Their parents can not msuro their chüdren's Uves as members in suoh co-operativo or assignineut companies. Only menibers can be insured, and an infant can uot be a member of a society and vote. The company's regulatious are illegal on the subjectof insuring children," was tho conclusión of the Judge. Jutgo Barrett concluded by saying that this branch of tho company's business must, thereiore, be eujoined.
