Foht Wortu, Tex., Jan. 34.- Two masked men boarded the engine of the east-bound train on the Texas & Pacific railway just .is it pulled out from Gordon station at three o'clock Sunday morning. Drawing revolvers on the engineer and lireman, they ordered thein to go on until a trestle two miles east of the station was reaehed. Here they compelled the engineer to stop .the train in such a way tuat the baggage, express and mail cars were on the road bed, while the pas senger cars were on the trestle and the passengers could nót leave theia, six masked men who had been waiting at this point guarded the train, and "the eight robbers went through the express car, getting all the money packages and vftlusble, and through the mail bags, taking all the registered packages, twenty-eight in number. They then left the train and rode away without molesting the passengers. The Pacific Express Company refuse to say hoij much their loss is, and the reports vary from Í2,O(X) to 115,000. The value of the registered mail is, oí course, unknown. Thus far no clue to the robbers has been obtained.
