He Had A Right To Vote For Landon
Editob Register : In your issue of the 7th in8t., under the head of " Political Echoes," you seem to have connected my name with that of Jxessrs. D. Cramer and Geo. Schwab as having worked for Judge Landon's eleotion. What the other gentlemen did I ean't say; for myself, I was confined to my house for weeks prior to election on account of sickness and death in my family, and my first appearance up town was Saturday before election. I voted for Mr. Landon. I suppose as a democrat I had a right to do that He was not my choice, I was in favor of Judge Joslyn being renominated, and thought, and still think, he was the strongest man in our ranks. If John J. Robison & Co., who have held office for the past thirty years or more by democratie votes, get any consolation out of Judge Landon's defeat, they are welcome to it They are politically dead and even Gabriel's trumpet could never resurect them. For the past years the clerk's office has been nothing mote less than Republican headquarters, but it is to be hoped tbat Mr. Howlett will effect a ohange.
