A Woman's Strange Adventure

Detroit, Vich., June 13.- Mrs. Albert Brooks, who weut from Juniata, Mich., te Denver, several mouths ago, to take possession oí an inheritance of $SO,000, is believed to have been kidnaped and carried off to California. A letter just received by her husöand says she is held captive by a band of men, who have already secured f30,000 of her money and are determined to get it alL The letter was forwarded from Boston, but had been sant to the postal authorities at that city from California íor mailing. Detectives are vorking on the case.
