Flood In The Missouri

Atchison, Kan., July 8. - Since Wednesday noon about flfty acres of land in East Atchison, Mo., have been wasïied away by the river. The school-house, which a month ago stood a quarter of a mile from the river bank, was moved east, and the ground on which it stood is now in the river. The bank at that point is perpendicular and thirty feet high. All the residents of that portion of the town have been forced to hastily remove their houses or abandon them to the mercy of the river.
