Nsw York, July 24.- The total productioa of pig-iron ia the United State d uring the past six months oí the present year was 3,052,699 Rross tons of 2,240 pounds, against 3,045,613 tons for the same time last year. The total production of steel rails for the year is estimated at 3,100,000 gross tons, against 1,574,703 gross ton in 1888.
