Washington, Aug. 2.- The President repeated yesterday that he felt it to be an absolute necessity that he should inevery case request those cities which proposed to send elegations to Washington conveymg invitations to visit them on his Western trip to forego that formality and íorward their Communications by maiL It is probable he will leave here the last days of September, and go direct to St Louis, and irom there to Kansas City, St, Paul, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Nashviüe and Atlanta. The journey will be made by the ordinary route of travel between the cities named,and the dispositlon of the President will b to see as much of the country and the peo pie on his route as will be consistent with limited time and positivo engagements.
