Accordine; to an act passed by the last legislature saperintendents of the poor are dow required to niake their annual report to the secretary of state the first of July, instead of the first of Ootober, as heretofore. The new arrangement, however, does not seem to work aa well as before. For instance, at this time of the year the superintendente are not able to determine what the value of all the farm producU will be. Acoording to law each super, visor is required to make a report to the superintendents, which only four or five have done.
