CnATiLESTON, 111., Aug. 6. - Acyclone vislted the western and northern part of this county yesterday afternoon, doing considerable daraage to fences, barns, trees, etc. The barn and broom-corn sheds of Mr. George Shinn, near Loxa, were lif ted from their foundations and carriod twenty feet. There was no loss of life. Delphi, Ind., Aug. 6. - A terriflc wind, rain and hail-storm passed over the southern part of the county yesterday afternoon. Scarcely a stalk of corn was left standing in the track of the storm. Fences were blown down and many barns unroofed. It resem bied a cy clone, and covered an area one-half mile wide. Hastings, Neb., Aug. 6. - A terriflc iviad-storm yesterday did great damage to the outbuildings, sbade trees, telephone and telegraph wires and growing crops. Kewalxee, Wis., Aug. 6.- One of the severest hail-storms ever experienced here passjd over this section Thursday evening, contiuuing about flfteen minutes. The ground was covered with ice pellets, ome of which were doublé the size of marbles. Many Windows were broken and an immense amount of daraage was done to standing graln. Fbanklin, Pa., Aug. 8. - A terrible storm, amounting almost to a cyclone, passei' over this city Friday night, doing a vast amount of damage. The western part of the city was inundated. A 15,000 barrel tank of oil belonging to the Eclipse Oil Company was flred by a flash of Hghtning, and for a time threatened the destruction of the en tire oil works, the lareest in the world. The loss by the fire will reach f20,000. Several persons were hurt. Madkid, Aug. 8. - Floods are doine ereat damage in the Province of Orense. The crops have been destroyed, many head of cattle drovvned, and hundreds of people made destitute. St. Louis, Aug. 9.- Additional adviees from the town of Millbrook, Kan., which was struek by a cyclone last Thursday evening, are to the effect that the place was practically demolíhed. Seventy-nine buildings, including hotels, school-houses, churches, stores and residerces were wholly or nearly destroyed. The losses foot up $GS,OOO. The people are in great distress, and a relief committee has been organized to sohcit aid for the families whose homes were swept away. Winnipeö, Man., Aug. 9. - Southern Manitoba crops hava been devasted by a t Triflc hail-storm. Grain was beatan into the ground, and there was not.enough left ior seeding purposes.
