Chicago, Aug. 9.- The convlcted bood Iers having resigned from the County Poard, Judge Jamieson yestarday continued argument on the motion for a new trial in the cases of Wren, McClaughry, Ochs, Van Pelt, Wasserman, Varnell and Leyden until the 5th of October. Sentence was passed upon Geils at hls own request, and he paid the $1,000 fine imposed by the jury. "Buck" McCarthy, Oliver, Casselman, Klehm and Lynn wiU be &en. tenced ïhursday morninsr.
