Washington, Aug. 11.- The National Agricultural Department reports afalling off of 7 points in corn during the past month, owing todrought. Spr'ng wheat Ís iu low condition, and oats are sligntly under the average, while barley promise9 an average yleld. The loss in potatoes during the past thirty days is figure! at 20 per cent. of the prospectivo erop, whtle the fruit and hay crops ara very poor. The cottpa average is good, and be tobáceo plant is in high condition, êxcept in Wisconsin.
