A Blow At The League
London, Aug-. 20. - The Irish National league has been proclaimed under the provisons of the Coerción act recently passed. The fact was announcod yesterday in the House of Lords by Tremier Salisbury and in the CommonB by Mr. Balfour, Chief Secretary for Ircland. AU the important document of the league have been removed from the headquarters in Dublin Mr. Chamberlain and Mr. T. W. Kussell have withdrawn from th Unionist party in conseqnence of the proclamation. Leading Irish natlonalists on both gides of the Atlantic denounce th action of the Government, but piedict that it will be without serious consequences to the home-rule movement London, Auf. 23.- The Ir sainen of Liverpool at a Suiulay adopted resolutione protesting' agaüigt the iroclamation of the Irish National League. Similar resohitions were ndopted at a meeting of Radicáis in London Sunday afternoon. Numerous branches of the leasrue in Ireland held their .weckly meetings as usual Sunday.
