Monticello, Pa., Aug. 27. - Three hundred coal minera were at work in a pit belonging to the Susqxiehanna Company Thursday, when a large volume of water poured in. The men escaped just in time to save their lives, several of thera being nearlytrampled on in the rush. Ninety moles perished.
