Regular meetirg of the council next Monday evening. Communion services will be held at the Presbyterian church Dext 8unday. Services will be resumed at the Unitarian charch nextSabbath marning. The Temperance Uuion will hold a meeting at Cropsey's Hall, Sunday afternoon, at three o'clock. All temperance people are earnestly invited to be present. The annual meeting for the election of officers of the Washtenaw County Pioneer Society will meet at the court houee on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10 o'clock a. m. The regular monthly meeting of the Pomological Society will be held in the basement of the court house, Saturday afternoon, September 3, at two o'clock. Discussion on peashes, pears, grapes and transportation will be held, also on county and state fair, and other important topics of interest to fruit growers. Shippers of fruit are especially invited.
