Philadelphia, Sept. 25.- Ancient York cele brated Friday the centennial anniversary of its incorporation as a borough. Yorkstown, as it was called during the revolutionary period, was settled by Germans more than 150 years ago. It was incorporated in 1787 and this year made into a city. The celebration was of more than local importance, because York was the seat of the Continental CongTens in 1777 and 1778. The city is gayly decorated and ia crowded with strangers. The feature of the day was a military parade in which 7,000 men were in line. The procession was reviewed by Governor Beaver, General Hartranft and General Gobin.
