Fall, oi Jackson, Sunday. Mrs. Prof. Perry and children returned from Nantuoket Island last Saturday night. Rev. H. Belser is in Detroit attendiog the Synod cf the Germán Lutherau church. J. H. Day and son John, of Brooklyn, N. Y., are visiting James Osborne and family. G. H. Hoyt and Master Homer G. Hoyt, of Saline, interviewed this office Friday. E. F. Mack, of Detroit, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Mack, over Sunday. Mrs. C. A. Chapin and Mi-s Maiy Cliapin. left Saturday for St. John, to visit relatives. Hon. J. E. McPherson, of Sterling, 111., was the guest of Dr. Smith the first of the week. Mrs. L. T. Limpert, nee Lulu Hangsterfer, of Cheboygan, is visiting her relatives in this city. Miss Gertrude S. Wade returned Friday from a two months visit to friends in Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Blitz, of Detroit, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Blitz, over Sunday. O. Krapf, of Saginaw, was in the city, Monday, visiting his father, Conrad Krapf, who is very sick. Oscar F. Sahmid returned from Minnesota last Friday, where he has been spending the summer. Prof. O. B. Cady returned from Lake Gogebeck, last Friday, where he has been recreating for several weeks. Mts. Schlotterbeck and daughter left Jlonday for Pittsburgh, Pa., where they will make their future home. Dr. H. W. Diivis, who graduated in the dental depastment in 18SG, now located at Ottawa, Kansas, is in the city. Prof. and Mrs. W. W. Beman returned from Charlevoix last Friday, where they have been spending the summer. Miss Emma M. Herey, late gradúate of the Ann Arbor High Sahool, ig conducting the Frain's Laki school in Superior. Mrs. N. W. Cheever and Miss Pamela A. Noble, returned today from a short visit at Mr. and Mrs. George S. Wheeler's, Salem. Rev. R. Heber Hoskins, of Detroit, was the guest of Dr. McLachlin over Sunday. He preached in St. Andrew's church Sun day morning. Mrs. E. H. Hudson, Miss Maud and Master Eddie Hudson, attended the funeral of Mrs. Martin Hudson, wife of the landlord of the Hudson House, Lansing, last Sunday. Miss Fannie L. Gwinner, left last Monday for Short Hill, N. J., where she has accepted a position as piano teacher in the Ladies' Institute. Miss Mary Scott accompanied her on her trip.
