Missionary Meetings
The Women's Missionary Societies of the Synod of Michigan will hold their annual meetings in the Presbyterian church, at Ypsilanti, next week, beginning on Tuesday, Ootober 4th, at 7:30 p. m., and closing with an evening service on Thursday p. m. Wednesday will be given to Foreign Missions. Rev. Arthur Mitchell, D. D., one oL the secretaries of the board of foreign mission, Mrs. L. M. Humphrey, of Lake Forest, 111., and the Rev. C. K. ühattejee and wife, converted Brahmins of India, are expected to be present, and the Wednesday evening meeting will probably be addressed by one or more of them. Thursday - day and evening - will be devoted to home missions, and among those expected from a distance to address the meetings are : Mrs. C. E. Walker, secretary of the Women's executive committee, New York ; Rev. R. H. Allen, D. D., secretary of the board of missions for Freedmen ; and Miss Anna Noble, long a missionary teacher among the Hormons in Idaho, now of Welleville, Utah. A large delegation from Ann Arbor should attend these meetings.
