Chicago, Oct. 20. -The opening exereises of the tweuty-fourth annual convention of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Eugineers took place in Central Music Hall yesterday. The meeting was an admirable one in every renpect Addresses were made by Jiayor Koche and Oovernor üglesby, but the interest of the occasion centered In the speeches of General Manager Jefïrey, oí the Illtnois Central railroad, and Grand Chief Engineer Arthur.
