Tuesday evening was a gala night for the K.nights Templare of this city, the occasion being an official visit from the Right Eminent Grand Commander Hod. Thomas A. Williams, of Jackson, and Grand High Priest E. G. Robertson, of Albion. Sir Koights A. H. Traver, J. D. Clark, W. J. Caldwell, aod A. D. Stiles, of Jackson, were also present, beĆ­ides several members of the Ann Arbor commandry living in Ypsilanti and Chelsea. The distinguished visitors arrived on the 5:30 train and were taken to the Pranklin House for tea. At eight o'clock the Ann Arbor commandry marched to the hotel and escorted them to the asylum, where the red cross degree was conferred upon Hon. N. E. Sutton, of Northfleld, after which a banquet vas gerved, of which about 80 sir knights partook. After satis tying the cravingsof the inner man, speechmaking was indulged in uutil a late hour. The Eminent Grand Commander led off, followed by the Grand High Priest ; Grand Captain General Wm. G. Doty, of this city, and Sir Knight Hon. K. P. Allen, of Tpsilanti, also spoke, and from all accounts both made a decided hit.
