The many friends of Miss Emms Healy, neice of Mrs. President C. K. Adams of Cornell University with whom she made her home while in this city, were much surprised and pained to learn of her death at the residence of President Adams in Itbaca, lasi Friday, of Bright's disease. The remains were brought to this city on Tuesday morning and interred in Forest Hill cemetery, services being held at the grave. The family of Howard Granger were apprised on Saturday last of his sudden death in San Francisco, Cal., on the day previous. Mr. Granger was well known in this city, he being the eldest son of the late Hon. B. F. Grauger, and was in the grocery business here until about ono year ago. He was in the insurance business at tían Francisco and was in perfect health wben last heard froiti. The remains will reach this city on Moüday next, and the funeral will be held at tne Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Granger came east sorae monthg ago, and is now with her aon, Ross Granger, 30 S. State-et. George Beavis, L. D. S., a student in the dental department of the University, died suddenly Sunday, of pneumonía, age 39 years. His home was Newport, England, and he was a gradúate of the R yal College of Surgeons, Ireland. He leaves a wife in this city, The funeral waa held in the University chapel, Tue3day fcernoon. The remains of Mrs. Stephen Hedges were brought to this city and interred in Forest Hül cemetery, Monday afternoon. She was a former resident of Ann Arbor and died at Grand Rapids last Friday, of consumpticn.
