A concert will be given in Hobart hall, Nov. 17, by the School of Music, for the benefit of the Mount Vernon endowment fund. The cantata, "The Daughter of Jairus," is beine; arrangedfor an orchestral acoompaniment and the "Chequamegons" vill take (he orchestral parts, and willalso contribute numbers in the second part of the program. The solos will be given by members of the School of Music, - Miss Caroline Ball, Miss Lucy K. Cole and Miss Kate Jacobs. The whole program promïses a very enjoyable concert, and the object for which itis given, the Mount Vernon fund, should make it a popular one amony the citizens of Ann Arbor, who it is believed will be glad of an opportunity of contributing to the fund that is being raised for tbe maintenance of Washington's old home. " Some views of Mount Vernon will be on exhibition next week at Randell's and other places, and tickets can also be obtained on Monday, Nov. 14, at Brown's drug store and Moore's book store. Those wishing to recome life members of the Mount Vernon association can do so by contributing one dollar.
