The Polk County Informant of Dec. 1, published in Bartow, Fia., has the following to say about a well-known Ann Arbor gentleman : " H. C. Clark, of Ann Arbor, Mich, arrived in Bartow lastFriday night and is the guest of Mr. E. W. Codington. Mr. Clark is a thoroughly skilied market gardener and has been a great prize winner at the State and county fairs in Michigan. His tentative efforts here will be watched with great interest. If they are successful, as we trust they will be, he will bring his family and became a permanent resident of Polk county. Ten acres of well cleared land at the eastern end of the city have been placed at Mr. Clark'a disposals and we trust it will be the means of adding to our population one who is of great value, not only for his skill in what is to us a very important industry, but because he is himself an intelligent, honorable and genial gentleman. We know whereof we speak."
