Dec. 9, in Hang-iterfer's hall, about thirty 6at down to a banquet to celébrate the revivfl in our University of one of the Greek letter fraternities,- Phi Delta Theta. This fraternity is a strong one throughout the United States, and organized a chapter here in 1864, - the Michigan Alpha, which, however, died in 1869. The effort to restore it has been going on quietly for sorte time, and it now has twelve good men who undoubtedly will make it a success. Among thoae who have recently been initiated by this chapter is Prof. T. IL Sshaeberle of Ann Arbor. The Phi pin is a beautiful design of the sword and shield. At the banquet last week six states were represented by members of the fraternity, and telegraphic Communications from brethren in different paris of the United States were received and read.
