The Earth Shaken By Dynamite

Pbovidence, R L, Jan. 31.- A. great quantlty oí dynamite waB exploded Sunday night in Newport harbor to break the ice. The ice was cracked in the harbor to a distance of eighteen miles. The shock of the explosión was feit at Fall River, Masa, Hope Valley, R L, ISristol, Warren, this city and other points, and was at flrst thought to be an earthquake.
