Fire Losses

New York, Feh, 6. -The new year starts off with a lire record which will far surpaaa that of last year if it mairitains its present proportions. The total flre losses of 1887 were $130,000,000, an increase of $15,000,000 over 1886. The losses in January, 1887, were $7,912,535; last month, $13,320,885, and in the flrst two days of February nearly $2,000,000 worth of property was destroyed.
