Des Modíes, la., Feb. 8.- At the twelfth animal meeting m this city yesterday of the Iowa Temperance Alliance the secretary stated that eight of the district judges reportad crime lessened by the Prohibition law; seventy-ODe counties reported the law a sucoess and fourteen Raid lt was a faiinre; the effect in business was Raid to b Kood by twenty-one reporta and bad by two, and twenty-four saloons were reported to be in operation, against toree thousand when the law was passed.
