St. Tavi., Minn., Feb. 1 1. - Depnty Clerk Oltnow, of the Hennepin County court, says that of the 17,0() inarriag-ea eolcmnized eiuce 1865 no returns have been made to the clerk's office in over 2,000 oí theni, and that they can not, therefore, be regarded as legal or complete. Where heirs are contesting tor an estáte or in apIHcations for pensions it would be cliflicult to prove tbe validity of these marriages.
