High School Notes
At the meeting of the senior class held on ïuesday afternoon, the following elass-day officers were elected : Orator, Mr. Gormley ; historian, Da ve McMorrain ; prophetess, Miss Nellie Cutler; poetess, MissMatilda Neumann; essayist, Miss Hattie Haviland ; songstress, Agnes Lease ; and toastmaster, Cari Hertel. A class tax of 25 cents was then voted to defray the expenses of the class. The committees for junior exhibition were appointed also, consisting of Misses Bailey, Cramer, Bundy, Law, Lease, Nichols, and Messrs. Warden, Bigelow, Blair, Ryder, Hertel, and McMorrain. For decorating committee, and for the arrangement of flowers, Misses Cutler, Tolchard, Neumann, and Hendrickson.- The debate for lyceum No. 1, fortomorrow eveninr, is Resolved, That Wyoming, Montana, and Washington territoriesshould be admitted as states into the union. Messrs. A. B. Johns and Tichnor will speak for the affirmative, and Messrs. Gormley and Spencer for the negative. - In lyceum No. 2, the question for debate tomorrow evening, is Resolved, That wealth tends to improve the intellectual and moral conditions of mankind. For the affirmative Mr. Randall, and Mr. Butts for the negative.
