Washington, Feb. 24. - The National Democratie Committee met in Willard'g Hall in this city yesterday for the purpose of selecting a time and place for the holding- of the next National Democratie convention, and H:. Louis was chosen as the place and June 5 as the time. The following is the official cali: ' The National Democratie Committee havlng met in the city of Washington on the 22d tlay of February, 1888, has appointed Tuesday, .he 5th uay ot June next, at high noon, as the time, and chosen the city of St. Louis as the place for holding the National Democratlo Convention. Each State is entitled to representation therein equal to doublé the number of its Senators and Representativos In the Congress of the United States, and each Territory and the District of Columbia shall haro two delegates. All Democratie conservativo eitizens of the United States, irrespectlve of past political associations and aifferences, who can unite with us in effect for pure, cconomical and constitutional Government are cordially invited to join in sending delegates to the coa ventlon.
