No other recent event at Cbelsea ha9 created quite so much interest in society as the marriage, on the evening of Feb. 23, 1888 by Rev. Thomas Holmes, D. D , of' Mr Lortnz Sawyer, residing a mile arul a half north of that village, and Mrs. Ilulilah A. Skinner, ot Ann Arbor. Lo renzo Swyer is a bro'herof Hon. A. J. Sawyr, of Ann Aor, &nd Mrs. Skinner, now Mrs. Lorenza Sawyer, is the molher of Mrs A. J Sawyer. The confusiĆ³n of relationships created by this hsppv union, is very pe u iar; and by way of helpin out iliote who get tangled in the muze, they are given in detail. Lorenzo Sawyer becomes ,father-in-law to hia brother, sien-faiher to ni sisterifi-law, and ?ranrifather to his nephews. Mrs. Lorenzn Sawyer becomes sister inla w to her daoghter. also toherson-in law, and aunt to her grand children. A. J. Sawyer becomes son-in-law to his broiher, and in-la w to his mother-inlaw. Mrs. A. J. Sawyer becomes sister-inlaw to her mot her, and step-daughter to her brother-in-law. The soris of A. J. Sawyer become nephevis of their grandmother and grandsons of their uncle.
